Q. How do I know if Scholl Flight Socks or Flight Socks Sheer are suitable for me?

A. If you are suffering from, or have a previous history of, blood clots, a blood clotting disorder, heart or circulatory problems (e.g. arterial or venous insufficiency), diabetes, severe varicose veins, cancer, reduced mobility or if you have recently undergone major surgery or are pregnant, you should consult a healthcare professional about the suitability of these products. It is also important that you choose the appropriate size.

Q. Are Scholl Flight Socks/Flight Socks Sheer of benefit on short haul flight, e.g. to Europe?

A. As the risk of DVT is only prevalent on long haul flights, flights of over 4 hours are where we recommend people wear them. However, they do help reduce swollen ankles (which people get on short haul flights) and travellers looking for extra reassurance will not suffer through wearing them.

Q. If I wear Scholl Flight Socks/Flight Socks Sheer during a flight, is it necessary to take any other precautionary measures?

A. In order to reduce the risks of DVT, Scholl Flight Socks/Flight Socks Sheer can be worn as part of a preventative regime which includes walking around the cabin, drinking plenty of water, avoiding alcohol, tea and coffee and gently exercising feet and ankles whilst seated. Please see How to avoid a DVT for more information

Q. Where are Scholl Flight Socks and Scholl Flight Socks Sheer available from?

A. Flightsocks are widely available on the high street – to find out more.
